Most recently, Elena served as the Chief Marketing Officer of Wiggin and Dana and served as the former Director of Business Development (Litigation) at Paul, Weiss. Leveraging her training as a former NY litigator, licensed psychotherapist, and certified executive coach, Elena has spent over 15 years working as a legal executive
coach and workshop facilitator helping partners, practice group leaders, and C-suite executives at Am Law 100 law firms create and implement a strategic vision for growth
by honing business development, client management, and leadership skills.

 

Before leading two national firms' marketing departments, Elena founded LawScope Coaching, LLC, one of the first legal executive coaching consulting companies to pioneer, design, and introduce executive coaching to the legal profession, law firms, and in-house legal departments throughout the USA.

 

Elena is a serial entrepreneur, a prolific writer, an author, and a sought-after motivational speaker, moderator, and workshop facilitator on topics related to leadership, stress management, business development, career/transition management, strategic planning, self-actualization, diversity and inclusion, professional development, client development, networking, and visual branding.

 

Elena has recently been a featured leadership presenter at EY-Canada, Google, Guggenheim Partners, SONY, The NY State Bar Association, and other corporations. She has been quoted by the Wall Street Journal, interviewed by NPR as a career expert, and has been a keynote speaker/moderator at multiple ALM, NALP, LMA, City Bar of NYC, NYS Bar Association conferences.

Elena served as Senior Faculty to Ackert, Inc., as a PLI faculty member, a member of the Lawyer Wellbeing Task Force for the Connecticut Bar Association, and served as an Executive Board Member of the Lawyer’s Depression Project.


Elena graduated from Princeton University (A.B. 1990) and went on to get her law degree from The Georgetown University Law Center (JD 1993). She is a licensed psychotherapist and received her master’s in clinical social work from The NYU School of Social Work (MSW 2006) and completed a one-year fellowship at the NYU Institute of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Elena also completed her training as a
certified coach from the Institute for Life Coach Training. In 2013, Elena was inducted into the 200th Legione D’Oro of the Accademia Tiberina in Rome and presently serves as an International U.S. Delegate for the Fodazione Accademia di Tiberina Pontificale,
dedicated to the promotion of Latin and Italian science and letters and the preservation of Roman art and culture.

Elena received her certification in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Meditation from the Yale University Stress Center and is a certified Level II Reiki Master. Elena is fluent in Italian, Sicilian, Hebrew, and Spanish.

 

Elena is a dyed-in-the-wool introvert artfully disguised as a shameless extrovert. She is the mother of two grown children, step-mother to two more grown children, and now lives in the NY Hudson Valley, with her husband where she spends her time doing what she loves most--writing books and coaching others.
